CHENNAI:
Chennai, on the Bay of Bengal in eastern India, is the capital of the state of Tamil Nadu. The city is home to Fort St. George, built in 1644 and now a museum showcasing the city’s roots as a British military garrison and East India Company trading outpost, when it was called Madras. Religious sites include Kapaleshwarar Temple, adorned with carved and painted gods, and St. Mary’s, a 17th-century Anglican Church.
PONDICHERRY:
Pondicherry (or Puducherry), a French colonial settlement in India until 1954, is now a Union Territory town bounded by the southeastern Tamil Nadu state. Its French legacy is preserved in its French Quarter, with tree-lined streets, mustard-colored colonial villas and chic boutiques. A seaside promenade runs along the Bay of Bengal and passes several statues, including a 4m-high Gandhi Memorial.
DAY 01: CHENNAI ARRIVAL
On arrival Chennai, meet our representative then proceed to Hotel for check then visit to Marina beach (World's second largest beach), Anna, MGR, Karunanidhi & Jayalaitha monument. Then back to hotel and Overnight stay at Chennai.
DAY 02: ARRIVAL CHENNAI - MAHABALIPURAM – PONDICHERRY
After breakfast check out from hotel then shopping at Chennai mall. After lunch drive to Pondicherry En- route visit the world heritage site Mahabalipuram or Mamallapuram famous for rock bas reliefs and sculptures. The Krishna’s Butter Ball is a massive boulder balanced on a small hill, fascinating Shore Temple (Belongs to 8th Century AD), Pancha Pandava Rathas, Tiger cave & etc. Later drive to Pondicherry, on arrival check-in hotel. Overnight stay in Pondicherry.
DAY 03: PONDICHERRY
After breakfast, proceed to Pondicherry sightseeing. A former French colony, a great tourist attraction. Visit the Basilica of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, established by the French missionaries in the 18 th century. The next attraction to be experienced during the tour is the visit to Arulmigu Manakula Vinayagar Temple, a vibrant Hindu temple known for its elephant blessings, ornately carved stone walls & golden chariot. Then visit the French War Memorial in Puducherry, is a war memorial dedicated to residents of French India who died for the country during the First World War. Later visit Paradise Beach ride through back waters is amazing to reach island shore to reach the sea shore. Then check into the hotel. Enjoy the evening in Rock beach, bordered by a street with restaurants, this scenic, rocky beach draws crowds during the evening. Overnight stay in Pondicherry.
DAY 04 PONDICHERRY
After breakfast then visit to Auroville to experience the world of calmness and serenity, the township established by the mother for harmonious living. Aurovindo ashram, Pondicherry Museum & Local Sight Seeing then back to hotel & Overnight at Pondicherry.
DAY 05 PONDICHERRY-CHENNAI DROP
After breakfast then drive to Chennai then drop at Airport/Railway Station for return journey.
